This website is NOT connected in any way with generic classmate websites. IF you receive emails from any of them asking for money for memberships or for any other reasons, understand that the money does NOT benefit the class of 1963 or its website. IF you are a member of a generic classmate website, understand that you will receive various emails from them, and some of them will mislead you into thinking you are registering for an All School Reunion, membership, etc. Guess what! The 'fishing' website gets the money, and you are NOT registered for anything. IF the generic site wants your money, ask yourself "WHY?" The Class of 1963 does NOT collect money online for any reason. YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED! Membership to the Class of 1963 website is FREE of charge. If you have questions, contact us at: [email protected]

UPDATE: LATEST EXCUSE FOR NEW WEBSITE ADMINISTRATION, GIVEN BY ALUMNI BOARD/OFFICERS: They felt it would be better to have someone who is local. Hmm... The president and vice president are NOT local! Guess the new ruling, not included in BYLAWS, applies to Peggy Martin ONLY.
Two versions of the truth? I don't think so. Sounds like someone's speaking with forked tongue.
FIRST VERSION OF THE 'TRUTH'
Cushing Police Department - June 12 at 12:30pm
CUSHING ALUMNI ALERT:
It has come to the attention of the police department that several alumni members have been contacted via email, in regard to a Lifetime Alumni membership on an internet site, Alumniclass.com. The site solicits a lifetime alumni membership for $25. While this is not criminal in nature, The Cushing Alumni Association would like everyone to know this is not OUR Cushing Alumni Association and there is currently no lifetime membership.
If you have received an email from this company, please do not pay the $25 in belief that you are providing the money to the Cushing Alumni Association. Alumniclass.com is a private company and is not associated with Cushing in any way. Though the site might say "Cushing Alumni" and have familiar names or photographs, we assure you and the Alumni Association assures you that you will receive no benefits from our Alumni Association for the $25 paid to this other company.
If you have questions or concerns regarding your status with the Cushing Alumni Association, please contact President, Dru Orr (307-331-5797) or Secretary, Joy Kindley (918-285-6054)
SECOND VERSION OF THE TRUTH 7-7-2015 Handout at Alumni meeting, in direct contradiction to the statement issued by Cushing Police Department. Sounds like the association changed their story to fit 'their' needs. Like that surprises anyone! The privacy protection offered (to stave off solicitors) is ONLY for the registered owner of the domain name, and does NOT protect or provide privacy for website members/users/visitors. Password protected pages DO provide privacy and protection for the visitors/members of the site hosted by WEBS.
CLARIFICATION OF MISREPRESENTED COSTS PRESENTED BY ASSOCIATION:
Group eMail from website WAS free of charge.
Domain name WAS free of charge.
URL licensing fee WAS free of charge.
Privacy Protection for registered domain holders WAS $12.99/year

Just joined the site and, Peggy, I am very impressed. You've done a great job. I have really enjoyed reading all the info. And very anxious to read your story about Mrs. Rainwater. She was very dear to me and close to my sister and her husband's family.
Even though I am in the class of '59, I love reading about others I can remember. I only went to CHS for the Jr and Sr years. Was at the big city of Ripley before that. Starting to such a 'large' school as CHS after Ripley, in my Jr year, was a little imtimidating at that time. Now, I look at all their pictures and realize they are just a bunch of Sr Citizens just like me now! LOL LOL
Bob Colon, in your class, Peggy, was my cousin. We used to make contact and visit some off and on through the years. Our mothers were sisters. And, of course, you and Sandra are my 3rd cousins. I know you have truly missed her.
Thanks for letting me join.

I was delighted to find this website - Also very surprised to find my picture posted under "Dora's Kids" - Thank you Peggy for the Memorial to Dora Hobbs - The world would do well to have more people like her - She changed many lives and was a positive influence in mine - While supporting my grandkids in school, I can't help but reflect on a what a great place and great time we grew up in - Carl "Carlyle" Phillips

Well the 25th all school reunion and our 46th has come and gone. Here are the stories as I saw them unfold. I crashed the 64 reunion and I thought I would not know anyone there, but to my surprise I knew almost everyone there. I renewed some old friends and got to swap some old tales and saw an old girlfriend.
The 46th reunion at Cleo Johnson's house was another big success and all had a good time. I presented Jim Pugh with a cd of the Bob Hope Christmas tour which had a shot of Jim being shot down one of his 9 times. Well I did catch 3 fish but Jim Pugh caught the biggest, I will let Jim tell about that. Cleo presented Jim with a bottle of head country bar b que sauce,as that is his favorite and he can't get it in Ohio. We need to give Cleo a big THANK YOU for him opening his home and his wonderful patio to us. Jim Griner was there and we had a good visit with him. Colette and Paulette the Moffeit sisters were there, ask Paulette about her mardi gras beads. Well my autograph book was a big hit and everyone got to hear my stories. The service Sunday was verrrrrry good, and Chaplain Newby was awesome. By the way I showed them that Air Force can shine their shoes better than the Army. I had a good visit with Chaplain Newby and Jim Sunday afternoon and got an autographed copy of Chaplain Newby's book, although he did autograph it to Gary Martin the first time, although peggy and I are good friends we don't share the same last name. I think a good time was had by all.

This is such a sticky situation! If I didn't know better, I would be convinced that the kid that made the scotch tape ball is Jim's offspring. The question remains, Jim, where have you been and what have you been doing?

I am new to blogging and certainly new to this one! When we posted a new entry, we weren't putting them in a category. So . . . the category name was showing zero comments. We only have 1 category and it appears there can only be 3 categories. I played around with this app this afternoon and think I finally, I see the light! I tried putting entries into the "Tape Me" category and now it shows 3 responses/comments. Is this as clear as mud?
